    Grounds for establishment

    The Act on the Establishment, Operation, and Fostering of Government-funded research institutes in the field of science and technology (Article 8) (December 31, 1987)

    Purpose of establishment

    Contribute to the development of national industries and the improvement of the quality of life of the people through research and development in the food sector, creation of public value, spread of performance and technical support, etc

    A major task

      Identify the functionality of food, Research and Development of New Materials and New Processes

      Research and Development of Food Storage, Distribution, and Safety Technology

    • 03

      Globalization of Traditional Food Research and Development

    • 04

      Research and development of food analysis, information, standardization, and foundation composition

    • 05

      Consignment and entrustment of R&D cooperation and technical services with the government, private sector, corporations, organizations, etc

    • 06

      Cooperation and support of related industries, such as small and medium-sized enterprises, and technical commercialization

    • 07

      Support for training professionals in key mission areas and establishing related technical policies

    • 08

      Projects necessary for the achievement of the purpose of researchers, such as subsidiary projects, test evaluation, certification, etc. under each of the above subparagraphs
